About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage hazardous and regulated waste activities in accordance with 40 CFR Parts 260–268 and Part 279
- Oversee used oil and hazardous waste generator requirements
- Coordinate waste profiling, approvals, and off-site waste shipment activities
- Perform and manage self lab-pack operations
- Remotely manage waste generation activities at multiple locations
- Evaluate real and personal property for environmental liabilities and materials of concern
- Support material reclamation and precious metals recovery compliance
- Implement and manage hazardous materials and waste information systems
- Ensure cradle-to-grave waste tracking and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management
- Experience with 40 CFR Parts 260–268 and Part 279
- Experience with Hazardous Waste Management Systems and Land Disposal Restrictions
- Experience with transportation and off-site disposal coordination
- US citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal facilities or multi-site waste programs
- Experience with waste information systems implementation across varied work environments
