Hazardous Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, label, store, and prepare hazardous waste and recycling materials in compliance with regulatory and company standards
• Maintain accurate records for waste management and air permit requirements, including waste tracking and dust collectors
• Coordinate and perform safe offloading of bulk materials such as solvents and polymers
• Inspect and maintain storage areas, tanks, and recycling zones to meet safety and housekeeping standards
• Support operations through effective communication, equipment use, and spill response

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in chemical handling and hazardous waste management
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks in an industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO and other regulatory compliance standards
• Existing certifications such as OSHA, RCRA, or Hazmat
