Haul Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport materials over short distances in a surface environment
• Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals, and brakes
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and legislation
• Maintain paper or electronic logbooks
• Communicate with Dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radios or onboard computers
• May drive special purpose vehicles including end dump trucks, center dump truck units, and water trucks

Requirements

• Experience with heavy equipment
• Safety-oriented mindset with high situational awareness
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Preferred Qualifications

• MSHA training
