Harvest FSQR Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Implement food safety management systems and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Monitor plant compliance with regulatory safety standards and act as a liaison with external regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate standard operating procedures, master schedules, and verification processes.
• Act as an intermediary between customers and the facility to review product performance and respond to complaints.
• Implement product specification systems and drive continuous improvement in processes.
• Lead and manage personnel, including decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in plant tours, audits, and various safety and regulatory projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, chemistry, microbiology, quality assurance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience interacting with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies or customers.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and adapt to a changing work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex testing and process problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and analytical problem-solving.
• Laboratory knowledge, including Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and instrumentation.
• Process Auditing experience.
