Hardware/Firmware Product Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute advanced automated and manual testing strategies for physical security camera products.
• Perform manual testing for the qualification of new cameras and product variants.
• Conduct automated and manual tests at contract manufacturers (CM) to ensure quality before mass production.
• Execute various validation types, including energy consumption, photo/video quality, mechanical tests, water ingress, and overall robustness.
• Validate new firmware versions and document all test results and detected anomalies.
• Contribute to risk analysis and provide go/no-go recommendations for manufacturing.
• Implement and evolve automated testing using tools such as LabGrid, Pytest, and Katalon.
• Support Digital QA and Production QA activities, including application testing and customer feedback analysis.

Requirements

• DEC in electronics, embedded systems technology, or a related field.
• Significant experience in hardware, electronic, or embedded product quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing on physical products.
• Proven experience in hardware test automation.
• Strong analytical skills, rigor, and excellent judgment.
• Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) for frequent international collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with connected products, IoT, cameras, or cellular devices.
• Ability to act as a technical reference and mentor within the team.
