Hardware Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define test plans and validate peripherals used in Everpure FlashArray products
• Perform hands-on lab characterization of peripherals for new and existing designs
• Conduct lab-based thermal modeling and stress testing to characterize power under various operating conditions
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and SERDES tools to evaluate design robustness
• Debug bus technologies including I2C, PCIe, DDR5, and related interfaces
• Drive peripheral qualification for optical interfaces (SFP, QSFP), DAC cables, PCIe cards, DRAM, and x86 CPUs
• Write clear validation reports and communicate results to hardware, software, and operations teams
• Perform root cause analysis on field failures and abnormalities to drive down failure rates

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in hardware validation or a related field
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Proficiency working in Linux environments
• Experience using Jira and other bug-tracking tools
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Experience setting up servers and switches

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with data tools such as Tableau and spreadsheets
• Experience with signal integrity and thermal requirement analysis
• Knowledge of high-speed networking and storage technologies
