Hardware Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies and hardware/software requirements in collaboration with product design and hardware design teams
• Establish validation plans for the environmental testing of hardware equipment
• Plan, identify, and monitor validation activities and supplier progress
• Develop simple software scripts to support validation processes
• Perform validation of test benches and specific simulators
• Manage and oversee environmental testing procedures with laboratory test engineers
• Write detailed test reports, validation reports, and technical summaries
• Capitalize on professional feedback and lessons learned to improve future processes

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electronics, industrial computing, or an equivalent field
• 3 to 5 years of significant experience in hardware validation or test equipment development
• Experience working in high-tech, highly technical sectors such as transport or nuclear
• Knowledge of environmental constraints including climatic, vibration, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
• Proficiency in professional English (both written and oral)
• Ability to develop basic scripting for automation
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel within France
