Hardware Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve validation test plans for custom automotive PCBs
• Characterize board performance using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads
• Automate lab equipment and test routines using Python or similar scripting languages
• Analyze and document results in clear, concise reports for internal teams and external customers
• Collaborate with electrical design, system integration, and software teams to support board bring-up and root cause analysis
• Interpret and follow OEM test protocols including LV124, ISO 16750, and CISPR
• Maintain lab setups and improve test efficiency with reusable infrastructure

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in board-level testing and validation
• Proficiency working in a lab setting with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power meters
• Familiarity with thermal, structural, and electrical stress testing
• Experience with test automation using Python, LabView, or similar
• Familiarity with vehicle or consumer electronics validation flows
• Ability to read schematics and debug at the component level
• Prior exposure to automotive, agriculture, construction, or defense OEM/Tier 1 supplier test protocols
