Hardware Technician

GrayMatter Robotics is a Physical AI company building Factory SuperIntelligence (FSI) through systems that learn, adapt, and develop genuine process intelligence. We deliver our system through a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, making Physical AI accessible to manufacturers to improve quality of life and production capacity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware components and perform testing to ensure design specifications are met
• Execute testing and experiments and record results
• Collaborate with engineering teams to document assembly processes and test procedures
• Conduct testing and configuration of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) cabinets and assemblies
• Perform upgrades on PLC systems and electrical hardware enhancements
• Provide technical support and training for hardware-related issues and troubleshooting
• Oversee operation and maintenance of 3D printers for prototyping

Requirements

• 1-3 years of hands-on hardware/software experience in manufacturing automation or similar field
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively in writing and verbally
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and efficiently
• Willingness to travel up to 30% to customer sites
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation
• Familiarity with industrial facilities and equipment
• Experience with ROS, Python, or C++ coding
• Experience resolving challenges in complex cyber-physical systems
