About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical and environmental tests on ECUs and Power Packs, including ESD, ISO Impulses, Cranking, and Voltage drop.
  • Assemble and disassemble prototype ECUs and Power Packs into steering gears.
  • Build and manage test materials such as wire harnesses, test boxes, and splices.
  • Perform functional testing on prototypes and analyze defective units to determine causes of failure.
  • Read and interpret test schedules, manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Manage local test lab equipment, including setting up and commissioning new equipment.
  • Record test data, write test reports, and confer with engineers to resolve technical problems.
  • Order required parts and components for the department.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field and/or 3+ years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Knowledge of electronic and/or electromechanical products.
  • Experience with prototype construction and modification.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with product design and testing processes.
  • Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams and management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
