Hardware Systems Performance Architect

Responsibilities

• Drive collaboration between hardware architecture, design, and software teams to create characterization plans
• Factor high-level functional and performance requirements into sub-systems and evolve them into future architecture
• Lead design, integration, and automation for characterization on prototype boards, bench-top mock-ups, and HIL infrastructure
• Orchestrate end-to-end development of systems and automation for performance characterization and data acquisition pipelines
• Execute characterization plans and present validation metrics to support data-driven architectural decisions
• Contribute to mock-ups or prototypes to study next-gen technologies and establish proofs-of-concept

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in relevant practical settings
• Experience designing or validating embedded systems in distributed architecture settings (automotive, aerospace, etc.)
• Strong understanding of embedded computing platforms, processors, memory, and peripheral interfaces
• Proficiency with embedded software platforms ranging from OS to RTOS to bare-metal
• Solid grasp of power-related aspects in distributed embedded architectures
• Familiarity with camera sensors and downstream processing pipelines (ISPs, DSPs)
• Deep understanding of high-speed automotive interfaces such as PCIe, GMSL, FPD-Link, Ethernet, A2B, USB, and CAN-FD
• Hands-on coding experience in embedded platform bring-up, system software, or test automation
• Knowledge of wireless technologies including BLE, LTE, 5G, and Wi-Fi
• Ability to use Python or MatLab for modeling, data acquisition, and analysis
