Hardware Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Decompose vehicle-level requirements into system, hardware, and EE-level requirements
• Define electrical and electronics (EE) architecture for test benches and HIL rigs
• Specify power distribution, wiring, signal interfaces, and data acquisition (DAQ) for validation infrastructure
• Use Cameo (MBSE/SysML) to build and maintain functional and logical architecture
• Maintain end-to-end traceability across user journeys, requirements, and test cases
• Define processes for ASPICE Level 2 compliance and partner with QA on ISO 26262 standards
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded, perception, and autonomy software teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of systems or hardware systems engineering experience
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in requirements derivation, functional decomposition, and allocation
• Working understanding of EE systems including power, wiring, and instrumentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software safety analyses (SW-FTA, SW-FMEA)
• Experience with ISO 26262 Part 8 software tool qualification
• Knowledge of ADAS, propulsion, chassis, or body electronics domains
• Exposure to ASPICE software process assessments
• Experience working with third-party assessors through audit cycles
