Hardware Support Technician II

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and assets, including the receipt and disposition of hardware
• Document all defects found in pre-mass production hardware and software
• Perform hardware reworks such as swapping boards or chips and removing write-protect screws
• Execute software reworks including device imaging, data wiping, and rewriting system hardware IDs
• Conduct servo flashing, firmware upgrades, and flashing of unsigned images
• Resolve support tickets related to device issues
• Provide technical support during events, which may require travel

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 2 to 5 years of related experience or training
• IT savvy with a strong interest in new technologies
• Knowledge of inventory management within an IT environment
• Ability to follow technical instructions for flashing drives and imaging devices
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
