Hardware Support Technician I

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory and asset management, including the receipt and disposition of hardware
• Document all defects found in pre-mass production hardware and software
• Perform hardware reworks such as swapping boards/chips or removing write-protect screws
• Execute software reworks including imaging devices, wiping data, and rewriting system hardware IDs
• Assist with servo flashing, firmware upgrades, and flashing unsigned images
• Resolve support tickets regarding device issues and provide technical support during events

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 0-2 years of related experience or training
• IT savvy with a strong interest in new technologies
• Knowledge of inventory management and comfort working in an IT inventory environment
• Ability to follow technical instructions for flashing drives and imaging devices
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
