Hardware Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform component and system level debug and integration of RF, analog, and digital systems
• Execute complex automated tests and manage the set-up and calibration of test racks
• Apply design troubleshooting rules for electronic hardware, equipment, and integrated circuitry
• Identify opportunities to optimize tests and hardware designs by evaluating device performance
• Assist in assessing complex design features to identify electrical, mechanical, or compliance issues
• Document essential details of materials, components, chipsets, and assemblies
• Provide technical input and support to cross-functional teams including RF, Analog, and Digital IC designers
• Act as a technical lead on small projects and assist in specialized analysis such as signal or power integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience
• OR Associate's degree and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience
• OR High School Diploma and 4+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience
• Experience with circuit and system level testing and automated test execution
• Proficiency with schematic capture and circuit simulation software
• Hands-on experience with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• Certification in Electronics or a related technical area
• Military experience or training in the electronics field (Rank E4+)
• 2+ years of experience in a lab or production environment
• 2+ years of experience in wireless or consumer electronics development
• Strong communication and organizational skills
