About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and innovate new 3D printing techniques and printer architectures
- Work across multidisciplinary teams to implement product improvements, such as redesigning support structure algorithms
- Evaluate current printer performance to identify areas for optimization
- Design and execute experiments, using data-driven results to inform hardware or software developments
- Tackle complex, open-ended problems across multiple engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Engineering portfolio of previous work/projects is required
- Experience with experiment design and data analysis
- Proficiency in programming and scientific computing, ideally Python or Matlab
- Familiarity with mechanical design, mechatronics, CAD modeling, and hands-on prototyping
- Ability to develop physics-based models of complex systems
- Willingness to question assumptions and back decisions with data
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a consumer product
