Hardware Prototyping & Lab Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee organization, inventory, and lifecycle management of lab equipment and electronic components
• Lead procurement, installation, and optimization of lab infrastructure
• Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair schedules for specialized test equipment
• Manage the Engineering Hardware Lab Jira ticketing system
• Execute programming for critical devices including CPLDs, Flash, and EEPROMs
• Write and maintain Python and Bash scripts for instrument control and test automation
• Perform functional testing and mechanical integration for prototypes
• Conduct deep-dive debugging and failure analysis on non-functional units
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA engineers on development tasks

Requirements

• Extensive experience in hardware lab management and technical support
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for test automation and data processing
• Strong command of Linux environments and shell navigation
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools
• Expert-level proficiency with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and regulated power supplies
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP and automotive standards like CAN
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds
