Hardware Power Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Validate, characterize, and optimize power delivery circuits and subsystems from proof-of-concept to mass production
• Bring up, debug, and validate complex power circuitry on prototype hardware platforms
• Develop and maintain automated frameworks for power measurement using Python
• Capture and analyze power consumption data to identify trends and anomalies
• Execute validation test plans and track issues using bug tracking systems
• Perform root cause analysis for power, SoC/memory, and mixed-signal component issues
• Interface with architects, hardware/software engineers, and manufacturing teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience validating power subsystems in consumer electronics
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and DAQ systems
• In-depth knowledge of voltage regulators (Buck, Boost, LDOs, load switches, fuel gauges)
• Practical experience with board-level SoC power rails and embedded power management
• Strong grasp of I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols
• 3+ years experience automating hardware validation using Python
• Familiarity with ADB and battery management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of automated test equipment integration (GPIB, VISA)
• Experience validating power in high-volume mass production settings
• Background in SoC/PMIC power domain mapping and rail sequencing
• Experience generating KPIs and comprehensive validation reports
