Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of hardware schematics, BOMs, and layouts
• Utilize engineering disciplines including Six Sigma, DFMEA, and DFM/DFA to develop robust design solutions
• Perform analysis of sensor/ECU and system performance
• Develop system and component test specifications and plans, including DV/PV
• Conduct circuit analysis such as WCCA, PI, and SI, and utilize simulations like SIMetrix
• Generate concise analyses, reports, and presentations for internal and customer reviews
• Support supplier discussions, prototype builds, and test instrumentation development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in automotive electronic engineering and design
• Solid experience in analog and digital circuit design
• Proficiency with design tools such as Mentor Graphics Dxdesigner and Expedition
• Experience with high-speed signal circuits and simulation tools like Hyperlynx
• Knowledge of signal protocols including Ethernet, FlexRay, SPI, and MIPI
• Experience with circuit analysis (WCA, PI, SI) and SIMetrix
• Knowledge of functional safety and quality processes (FMEA, 8D, FTA) and validation specifications
