Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering disciplines including Six Sigma, DFMEA, and DFM/DFA to develop robust hardware design solutions
• Lead and support the design and development of hardware schematics, BOMs, and layouts
• Document WCCA, HSIS/ICD, FuSa, and other required technical specifications
• Perform analysis of sensor/ECU and system performance
• Develop system and component test specifications, plans, and processes, including DV/PV
• Conduct high-speed signal circuit design and simulation, including PCB stack-up design
• Generate concise analyses, reports, and presentations for internal and customer reviews
• Support supplier discussions, prototype builds, and test instrumentation development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of automotive electronic engineering and design experience
• Solid expertise in analog and digital circuit design
• Proficiency with design tools such as Mentor Graphics Dxdesigner and Expedition
• Experience with high-speed signal circuit design and simulation (e.g., Hyperlynx)
• Knowledge of signal protocols including Ethernet, FlexRay, SPI, and MIPI
• Strong circuit analysis skills (WCA, current draw, PI, and SI) and simulation experience (e.g., SIMetrix)
• Understanding of functional safety and quality processes (HSE, SPM, FMEA, 8D, FTA) and validation specifications (Cisper, ISO)
