About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support system engineers during the concept design phase and derive requirements to the next level
  • Design complex multilayer PCBs in Altium for advanced drone and aerospace platforms
  • Coordinate with mechanical and embedded software engineers to ensure seamless cross-functional integration
  • Support the internal prototyping department and verify designs according to specific test requirements
  • Participate in system-level test campaigns and support field engineers with maintenance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3-5 years of professional hardware or electronic design experience
  • Expertise in multilayer PCB, high-speed digital, and mixed-signal design
  • Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer
  • Strong debugging and verification skills using standard laboratory equipment
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or other safety-critical industries
  • Ability to lead hardware development independently from concept to mass production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing systems according to Safety Integrity Levels (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
  • Experience designing for EMI/EMC compliance at both the PCB and system levels
  • German language skills for collaboration with customers and procurement stakeholders
