Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of PCB, chassis, and deployment form factors for in-house ASICs and off-the-shelf FPGAs
• Perform system design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for high-speed digital devices (10/25GbE and PCIe Gen5)
• Develop thermal and power strategies for global data center deployments
• Manage relationships with external contract designers and manufacturers
• Work closely with the ASIC design team to influence hardware designs
• Oversee the characterization of technologically demanding solutions and produce technical documentation
• Provide mentorship to less experienced team members

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related subject
• At least 3 years of production design experience
• Strong understanding of electronics and high-speed digital systems
• Proficiency in high-speed PCB design, preferably using Altium Designer
• Experience with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) techniques
• Experience with prototype bringup, testing, and characterization of high-speed digital links
• Experience deploying high-reliability or safety-critical systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with RF systems
• Software development skills in Python or C/C++
• RTL development skills for FPGAs (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL)
• Experience in post-silicon ASIC validation and production test suite creation
• Knowledge of semiconductor package design and fabrication processes
