Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with full-time mentors on real-world hardware engineering projects
  • Use Hardcaml (an OCaml library) for describing hardware in RTL
  • Build hardware applications from concept to a working design
  • Perform RTL design, testing, and integration using OCaml and Hardcaml
  • Work on both FPGA and ASIC designs depending on project scope

Requirements

  • Comfort with a software programming language
  • Experience with Hardware Description or Construction languages (VHDL, Verilog, Chisel, Pymtl, etc.)
  • Experience with FPGA or ASIC vendor tools (Vivado, Quartus, Genus, or Innovus)
  • Experience building a working hardware project (FPGA or ASIC) through academic, professional, or personal work
  • Interest in using FPGAs or ASICs in the context of networking
