Hardware Electrical Engineering Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive validation and testing of embedded hardware systems
• Perform complex hardware-level debugging and troubleshooting to identify design issues
• Debug electrical systems to ensure signal integrity and specification compliance
• Work with and troubleshoot MIPI, I2C, and SPI protocols
• Execute power consumption measurements using current probes and specialized tools
• Flash firmware images onto hardware systems during testing
• Utilize lab equipment such as VNAs, MIPI analyzers, and high-speed interface tools
• Review hardware schematics and PCB layout for optimization
• Develop and execute exhaustive test plans based on product specifications
• Create and present detailed test reports with actionable insights
• Implement basic automation scripts using LabVIEW or Python
• Collaborate with design teams to contribute to iterative design improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot at electrical and hardware levels
• Familiarity with MIPI, I2C, and SPI protocols
• Proficiency in utilizing lab test equipment and hands-on testing
• Experience with high-speed interface characterization equipment like VNA
• Competence in analyzing power consumption and signal integrity
• Familiarity with schematics and PCB layout tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering design
• Advanced MIPI protocol analysis and signal integrity testing experience
• Experience developing and executing complex electrical validation protocols
• Knowledge of scripting for automation in LabVIEW or Python
• Previous experience in PCB design and layout
