Hardware Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead the benchmarking of potential suppliers and technology screening for new energy applications within the automotive hardware electronic sector.
• Identify and prioritize HW Electronic technology for sensing, control, and diagnosis in accordance with OEM requirements.
• Integrate best-in-class automotive technologies, including EMC, Cyber Security, and GaN or SiC electronics.
• Plan and realize engineering activities including functional analysis, component specification, and design validation.
• Optimize BOM costs for both hardware and software perimeters.
• Manage risk management, life cycle analysis, and the definition of integration validation tests.
• Develop technical specifications for HW Electronic components and ensure full traceability to system design.
• Support RFI/RFQ processes and provide technical expertise to steering committees and key suppliers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HW Electronic technology screening and design validation.
• Strong knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and Cyber Security principles.
• Expertise in power electronics, specifically GaN (Gallium Nitride) or SiC (Silicon Carbide) technologies.
• Proficiency in functional analysis and risk management.
• Experience with BOM cost optimization and supplier technical management.
• Ability to analyze patent literature and technical research.
