Hardware Design Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit design and schematic capture
• Conduct timing analysis and simulation of critical interfaces
• Execute hardware bring-up for initial prototypes
• Develop and execute hardware verification plans
• Debug prototype hardware using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, protocol analyzers, and signal generators
• Assist with large-scale high-speed signal testing using automated data acquisition techniques

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related program
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuits
• Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers
• Familiarity with programmable logic devices such as CPLDs and FPGAs
• Familiarity with lab test equipment and measurement techniques
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Initiative, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools
• Experience designing and debugging hardware
