Hardware Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuits for automotive lighting modules (LED drivers, matrix controllers, DC/DC sources, SMPS, etc.)
• Document hardware requirements and technical specifications for electronic components
• Perform circuit modeling and analysis, including simulations and worst-case studies
• Coordinate with MCAD and ECAD teams to ensure design quality of harnesses and PCBAs
• Execute electronic validation tests and ensure compliance with internal and OEM standards
• Act as a technical point of contact for electrical topics within the project
• Collaborate with EMS providers and prototype workshops for hardware manufacturing
• Manage the registration of new electronic components in the corporate database
• Develop DFMEA, hardware test plans, design rules, and component selection criteria
• Maintain effective communication with clients, internal teams, and suppliers

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive electronics design and development
• Knowledge of power electronics design: SMPS, DC-DC converters, linear regulators
• Experience in circuit modeling with tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, or Matlab
• Proficiency in electronic schematic capture tools, preferably Altium
• Familiarity with tools like Teamcenter, DOORS NG, Vector CANoe, and Mathcad
• Knowledge of LIN/CAN communication protocols and embedded systems with microcontrollers
• Experience in environmental and EMC testing
• Conversational English
