About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead design team efforts to meet EMI/EMC goals for embedded systems technology
  • Analyze requirements, provide compliance reviews, and identify technical risks
  • Establish internal lab capabilities to de-risk designs prior to formal testing
  • Perform de-risking activities both internally and at offsite locations
  • Coordinate and witness formal compliance activities at external laboratories
  • Provide technical input to design reviews to ensure successful compliance
  • Generate detailed reports to capture test procedures and summarize results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of compliance experience in Industrial, MIL, or Aerospace electronic design
  • Deep expertise with MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 standards
  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, LISN, and Oscilloscopes
  • Strong understanding of signal filtering, grounding, and cable design for EMI/C
  • Proven ability to work directly with design teams to optimize hardware performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, or MIL-STD-1275
  • Familiarity with EN61000, CISPR, or EM Emissions SDIP/TEMPEST
  • Knowledge of thermal, vibration, and environmental testing standards
