About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic schematics and automation-related hardware for new product platforms, test systems, and engineering prototypes
  • Own the hardware design lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture development, prototyping, validation, and transition to manufacturing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
  • Apply DFX principles (Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Automation, Reliability, and Cost) to improve hardware robustness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues during development, verification, and sustaining phases
  • Develop automation hardware for production, including fixture electronics, sensors, control boards, and interface modules
  • Maintain precise engineering documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and design notes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware design or automation hardware development
  • Strong proficiency in schematic design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics
  • Solid knowledge of PCB layout principles, component selection, and design best practices
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation hardware such as sensors, actuators, motor drivers, or control electronics
  • Understanding of embedded systems and hardware–firmware-software interfaces
  • Experience with test fixture circuitry
