Handyperson

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, painting, HVAC, and general upkeep of hotel facilities
• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are in excellent working order
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials, and request replacements as necessary
• Assist with setup and breakdown for special events or room configurations
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns

Requirements

• Previous experience working on the maintenance of hotels, fixed plant, or equipment systems
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance strategies
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, punctual, and reliable with a proactive approach to work
• Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts, including weekends as required
