Hand Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised hand therapy for a diverse caseload of adults and children across trauma fracture clinics, outpatient clinics, and wards
• Assess and treat trauma and acquired hand conditions, including tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, and osteoarthritis
• Perform splinting, prescribe exercises, and deliver functional rehabilitation
• Manage scar and oedema care
• Interpret hand and wrist X-rays
• Provide operational support and assist junior therapists with clinical reasoning and caseload management

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
• Right to work in the UK
• Clinical experience in hand therapy, including splint fabrication and various modalities
• Ability to manage complex trauma and acquired hand/wrist conditions
• Experience interpreting hand and wrist X-rays
• Ability to autonomously manage adult and paediatric caseloads

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in the UK NHS system at Band 7 level in Hand Therapy
