H-60 Helicopter Engine Drivetrain Mechanic/Aviation Machinist Mate

Responsibilities

• Perform field and sustainment level maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for MH-60R helicopter engine and drivetrain systems
• Maintain and repair major assemblies, subassemblies, and line replaceable units (LRUs) of the MH-60R power plant
• Conduct inspection, fault detection, and corrective actions on transmission systems, tail drive shafts, rotor systems, and fuel systems
• Utilize IMDS/HUMS vibration diagnostic systems to perform adjustments and maintain minimum standards
• Remove, disassemble, rig, reassemble, and test power plant systems and flight controls according to technical manuals and safety procedures
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) for local technicians and maintain appropriate training records
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment and precision tools required for power plant maintenance
• Complete and maintain all applicable forms, records, and reports in compliance with the NAMP

Requirements

• 8 years of experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work
• Verifiable experience maintaining H-60 aircraft
• Valid A&P license, QAR, CDQAR, or TI qualification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) Background Investigation and drug test
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials and potentially a secret clearance
