Guidance, Navigation & Controls Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers, providing mentorship, task assignments, and regular performance feedback
• Drive execution on GNC subsystems for various programs and constellations
• Perform technical reviews in the GNC domain with support from Subject Matter Experts
• Develop and improve engineering processes and workflows to promote team efficiency
• Oversee technical, budget, and resource allocation to meet customer and program requirements
• Grow the team through strategic hiring and internal talent development

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite design and/or operation
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with strong GNC fundamentals and spacecraft system-level knowledge
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Matlab/Simulink
• US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI required post-start)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science-related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in satellite design and/or operation
• Advanced understanding of classical and modern control theory, architecture development, and systems integration
• Experience defining satellite and constellation CONOPS
• Familiarity with GNC hardware components such as reaction wheels, star trackers, and propulsion systems
• Experience in functional management or managing complex technical projects
• Possession of an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance
