Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component level
• Develop and refine complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation models using multidisciplinary data
• Design flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques to achieve performance targets
• Implement, integrate, and test vehicle models and controllers using languages such as C, C++, FORTRAN, or Python
• Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation accuracy
• Support flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop development, and flight test planning and execution
• Lead design reviews, analyses, and system testing to ensure products meet customer requirements
• Train and coach junior engineering staff

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5 or more years of related professional work experience
• 3+ years of direct experience in Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) engineering
• Proficiency using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

• 9 or more years of related work experience
