About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a unique and personalized experience for each guest by creating connections and exceeding expectations
- Ensure a warm and professional check-in and check-out experience
- Support the wider front office team, including concierge and reservations departments
- Take and direct incoming calls and respond to guest requests promptly
- Share information about the hotel and the local Melbourne area with guests
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the front desk and hotel lobby
Requirements
- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
- Current RSA or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Full working rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Opera property management system (PMS)
- Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make local recommendations to guests
