About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide a unique and personalized experience for each guest by creating connections and exceeding expectations
  • Ensure a warm and professional check-in and check-out experience
  • Support the wider front office team, including concierge and reservations departments
  • Take and direct incoming calls and respond to guest requests promptly
  • Share information about the hotel and the local Melbourne area with guests
  • Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the front desk and hotel lobby

Requirements

  • Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
  • Current RSA or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
  • Full working rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Opera property management system (PMS)
  • Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make local recommendations to guests
