Arena is the platform for evaluating how AI models perform in the real world. Founded by researchers from UC Berkeley's SkyLab, we're on a mission to measure and advance the frontier of AI for real-world use, and to build the foundation for everyone to understand, shape, and benefit from it.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale Arena's email and lifecycle strategy across onboarding, activation, retention, and re-engagement
  • Design and execute multi-channel lifecycle programs (email, in-product messaging, and notifications)
  • Build segmentation and personalization frameworks rooted in behavioral data and user intent
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to implement lifecycle tooling, event tracking, and automation infrastructure
  • Develop and run A/B and multivariate tests across subject lines, content, timing, and frequency
  • Analyze campaign and funnel performance and translate findings into strategic recommendations
  • Write compelling, on-brand copy across all lifecycle touchpoints
  • Work cross-functionally to align lifecycle efforts with product launches and growth initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle, email, or CRM marketing
  • Experience at a product-led growth or developer-focused company
  • Proven track record optimizing lifecycle programs for activation and retention
  • Strong copywriting skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms like Customer.io, Braze, or HubSpot
  • Data-driven approach with ability to run A/B tests and pull own data
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering on infrastructure
  • Knowledge of email deliverability, list hygiene, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to developer, research, or technical audiences
  • Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and evaluation concepts
  • Experience using AI tools and agents to scale output
  • Ability to build and iterate on v1 programs quickly
