Growth Lead, SMB Ads

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute acquisition and activation strategies to help SMB advertisers discover and spend on OpenAI's advertising platform
• Diagnose the advertiser funnel across awareness, sign-up, onboarding, and first-spend stages
• Own the SMB acquisition strategy across paid, organic, social, partnerships, and product-led growth channels
• Partner with Product and Engineering to optimize sign-up flows, onboarding, and campaign setup experiences
• Translate SMB customer insights into compelling positioning, messaging, and product feedback
• Use AI tools to accelerate experimentation, data analysis, and internal growth workflows
• Build operating rhythms for experiment planning, performance readouts, and funnel diagnostics

Requirements

• Significant experience in growth marketing, product growth, or SMB go-to-market roles
• Proven track record of managing acquisition, activation, or revenue outcomes
• Highly analytical with expertise in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and experimentation
• Experience growing customers through scaled self-serve platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, Shopify)
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while building new systems from the ground up
• Strong product instincts and ability to partner with Engineering and Data Science teams
