About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide daily therapeutic and psycho-educational group treatment using evidence-based practices
- Integrate patient feedback into group activities to increase engagement
- Offer arts, meditation, and recreational focused groups
- Maintain curricula, group materials, supplies, and equipment
- Participate in weekly clinical meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain client and program records in accordance with agency requirements
- Complete all documentation in the electronic health record
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
- Experience working with populations with substance use disorders
- Experience in crisis management and intervention
- Experience providing group interventions to target populations
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week, including one weekend day
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Alcohol Counselor (CAC)
- Experience with psychiatric or co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of CBT, Relapse Prevention, and Motivational Interviewing
