Group Practice Leader and Clinical Faculty General Dentistry

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for predoctoral group practice clinics
• Supervise, educate, and mentor dental students in a clinical setting
• Ensure the safe and effective delivery of evidence-based patient care
• Guide students in the development of evidence-based treatment plans
• Monitor student professionalism, patient management, and clinical skill assessments
• Oversee student progress toward on-time graduation
• Co-direct Patient Care courses for second-, third-, and fourth-year students
• Collaborate with the Department Chair on continuous quality improvement
• Conduct summative and formative student assessments
• Participate in service to the college and university

Requirements

• D.D.S./D.M.D. degree (or international equivalent)
• Successful completion of NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE
• Completion of a regional licensure examination (e.g., ADEX)
• Active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full/faculty) by the position start date
