About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all third-party carrier operations for loads originating in Ontario, including load tendering, follow-up, and performance monitoring.
- Support daily fleet operations in Ontario to ensure all T1 and T2 transport requirements are met.
- Coordinate with Brewery Operations to manage returnable packaging, pallet requirements, and full goods shipments.
- Continuously monitor transport KPIs such as tender acceptance, rate compliance, and on-time delivery to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Manage carrier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts and safe shipping practices at Labatt sites.
- Provide leadership and coaching to unionized transport team members within the Mississauga Warehouse scope.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, National Logistics, and BSC teams to optimize the transportation network.
Requirements
- University degree in business, industry-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading an operations facility.
- Strong background in logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven ability to manage transport operations in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and load boards.
- Proficiency with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience working within a unionized environment.
