Group Manager (Software Engineering Manager)

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the frontend technical vision and architectural roadmap
• Lead the global "Community of Practice" to establish coding, testing, and security standards
• Manage and mentor engineers, driving performance reviews and career development
• Oversee resource allocation in collaboration with the ART Trio (PM/SA/RTE) within a SAFe environment
• Drive operational excellence by improving high availability, observability, and reliability of services
• Balance feature delivery with long-term technical health and the reduction of technical debt
• Foster an inclusive environment that promotes psychological safety and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 12-15 years of overall professional experience in software engineering
• 4-6 years of experience in people management and leading distributed technical teams
• 6+ years of hands-on frontend engineering experience with C++, QT, QML, Vue.js, Angular, or React
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and full-stack distributed systems
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab), Docker, and Infrastructure as Code
• Proven ability to manage performance, hiring, and conflict resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or complex matrix organization
• Knowledge of the aviation domain, including airline operations or flight planning
• Experience building mission-critical software requiring high availability and safety
