Group Manager - Actuarial Pricing

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end pricing analytics, including data preparation, technical model development, validation, and impact analysis
• Oversee rate change implementation with robust version control, documentation, and governance compliance
• Contribute to portfolio monitoring, including annual rate reviews and rate adequacy assessments
• Identify and drive process improvements through the design, testing, and implementation of new workflows
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with actuarial and underwriting stakeholders across various regions
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior members of the pricing team
• Present clear, well-structured analytical findings to appropriate audiences

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant actuarial work experience within the insurance industry
• Proven experience in General Insurance Commercial Lines, specifically focusing on Casualty business
• Expertise in building complex predictive models using GLMs and Machine Learning techniques
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellow of the Actuaries Institute or an equivalent professional qualification
