About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a shift team, ensuring production safety, quality, and adherence to production plans.
- Act as a line manager for operators, holding personnel responsibility and assigning tasks based on employee expertise.
- Prepare manufacturing campaigns by managing raw materials in SAP and ensuring availability.
- Monitor production rooms, apparatus, and equipment for safety and GMP compliance.
- Oversee and document the manufacturing process in cleanrooms and laboratories, including the use of lyophilizers.
- Make critical decisions regarding production flow based on in-process controls and analytical data.
- Ensure accurate batch documentation, digital records, and logbook entries.
- Drive continuous improvement of production facilities, workflows, and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Completed training as a Chemikant, Pharmakant, Chemical/Pharmaceutical Technologist, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards and process documentation.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments and handling highly active substances.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to lead and motivate people.
- Highly organized with a structured way of working.
- Fluency in German (written and spoken).
- Availability to work in a shift system (early, late, and night shifts).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training in the chemical or pharmaceutical field (e.g., Industriemeister, Technician, or similar).
- Previous experience in personnel leadership.
- Experience with the commissioning of new plants and processes.
