Group Leader - Production

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to drive operational excellence and manage daily manufacturing processes
• Oversee production activities, quality assurance, inspection, and problem-solving initiatives
• Analyze and respond to manufacturing daily plans, making necessary operational adjustments
• Drive accountability through people and processes, including managing change and navigating ambiguity
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support SPQRCE goals
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma (Engineering background preferred)
• Proven leadership and interpersonal experience
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Ability to work weekends, off shifts, and extended hours
• High level of critical thinking and analytical ability for complex problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) and Throughput Improvement Process (TIP)
• Experience supervising employees in a union environment
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or implementing Built-in-Quality Initiatives
• Engine or transmission manufacturing experience
• Red X & DFSS Certification
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
