Group Leader, Immunology

Responsibilities

• Lead an innovative, rigorous, and highly collaborative research program focused on advancing fundamental understanding of the immune system
• Develop a transformative research vision and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Play a key role in engineering immune cells to detect, prevent, and cure organ-specific diseased states
• Engage with colleagues to uphold values of scholarly excellence, innovation, and collaboration
• Communicate progress and results with colleagues and the leadership team
• Publish and disseminate impactful findings via preprints and software repositories
• Collaborate with the Biohub team to patent and license resulting technologies

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in immunology or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years post-doctoral experience with a strong foundation in immunology
• Innovative research plan aimed at revealing fundamental principles of the immune system
• Demonstrated publication track record in top-tier journals
• Demonstrated leadership, innovation, and ability to work collaboratively
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to open science

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory or mentoring experience
• Expertise in systems immunology, immune engineering, or functional/molecular immunology
• Experience with quantitative, high-throughput, or systems approaches
