Group Lead

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activity in assigned work areas to ensure products are processed according to build schedules
• Communicate work instructions to personnel and provide direct training to area operators
• Ensure quality and production goals are met through regular process and quality performance audits
• Monitor work in process inventory status and daily output quantities
• Resolve production problems and identify root causes to prevent re-occurrence
• Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and company policies
• Perform 5S audits and participate in weekly meetings with other value stream group leads
• Manage equipment maintenance and calibration requirements

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology or comparable specialized training
• 6+ years of progressively responsible assembly experience, including leadership experience
• Experience working in a clean room manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, assembly, and production technical skills
• Proficiency in PC-based software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Demonstrated ability to comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience specifically as a group lead in a manufacturing environment
