Group Head of Accounting

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translations.
• Produce accurate, timely consolidated financial statements in full compliance with IFRS.
• Act as the group's technical authority on IFRS, specifically regarding IFRS 15 revenue recognition for SaaS contracts.
• Lead the group external audit and coordinate statutory audits across all jurisdictions.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, transfer pricing arrangements, and group accounting policy manuals.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation to streamline the close process and improve reporting accuracy.
• Build, lead, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team.
• Deliver monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and key SaaS metrics like ARR and MRR.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience at the group/consolidation level.
• Proven experience leading group consolidation for multinational, multi-entity, and multi-currency businesses.
• Strong, demonstrable IFRS technical expertise.
• Audit or accounting training gained at a Big Four firm.
• Fluent, business-level English (written and verbal).
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS, subscription-based models, or FinTech/regulated financial services.
• Exposure to GCC/MENA reporting and regulatory environments, particularly KSA.
• Experience leading or supporting an ERP migration or implementation.
• Experience scaling finance operations through rapid growth or M&A.
