Group Director, Medical

Responsibilities

• Consult with Science, Creative, Account, and Planning teams to create compelling medical content for digital and print media
• Identify new clinical developments and implement disease state knowledge to drive client business growth
• Analyze clinical data, conduct literature searches, and perform competitive analyses
• Engage and inform healthcare professionals, clients, and medical, legal, and regulatory groups
• Manage and mentor junior members of the Medical team
• Guide the creation of clinically cogent promotional materials and ensure effective use of clinical data
• Lead submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and incorporate feedback
• Improve medical literacy across agency groups regarding disease states, clinical trials, and treatments

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD)
• At least 7 years of experience in an agency or pharmaceutical industry supporting marketing or medical communications
• Proven track record of communicating medical advances to diverse audiences
• Ability to lead content development and complex data analysis with minimal direction
• Strong ability to independently incorporate strategic concepts into projects
