Group Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger across various group subsidiaries
• Manage monthly close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Implement and maintain balance sheet reconciliation initiatives
• Act as a first reviewer for allocated areas within the close process
• Address unreconciled and aged transactions on reconciliations
• Collaborate with the FP&A function and assist with Group and statutory audits
• Prepare internal reporting and respond to ad hoc requests

Requirements

• Newly qualified CA(SA) (0-2 years post articles)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar finance degree
• Proficiency with Excel analysis and large data sets (pivot tables, lookups)
• Experience performing general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Experience communicating with senior management and external auditors
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SaaS company operations
• Experience with reporting tools and SQL
• Experience in US GAAP
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows
