About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Absa portfolio as the senior day-to-day agency lead, translating client priorities into clear media actions and deliverables.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior marketing stakeholders and agency partners.
- Provide strategic media direction, ensuring the team delivers data-led recommendations and adds value through performance marketing and ABM opportunities.
- Oversee account operations, including workflow management, client WIPs, and proactive identification of operational roadblocks.
- Manage media schedules and campaign delivery, ensuring alignment between client approvals, digital plans, and live campaign performance.
- Own financial hygiene for the business unit, including budget reconciliation, billing, forecasting, and commercial risk management.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of strategists, planners, and analysts.
- Drive high standards of reporting and insights, packaging complex performance data into actionable business recommendations.
Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in a media agency or complex integrated account management environment.
- Proven expertise in digital marketing with strong exposure to performance marketing, optimization, and account-based marketing (ABM).
- Extensive experience in client portfolio management and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strong financial management skills, including experience with billing, forecasting, and budget tracking.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, including managing direct reports and career development.
- Ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams including strategy, planning, buying, and AdOps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on financial services accounts or within large, matrixed client environments.
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or Project Management.
- Relevant certifications in media, digital operations, analytics, or platform management.
